Three Christchurch Group staff shortlisted for Great British Care Awards

Three members of staff from Christchurch Group centres have been shortlisted for the Regional Great British Care Awards 2015.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout England and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector . The purpose of the awards are to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Jo Wilkins, Registered Homes Manager for Christchurch Northampton services has been shortlisted for The Care Home Registered Manager Award in the East Midlands Regional Awards. Jo Wilkins manages Christchurch View, Lloyd House and Abington View in Northampton. Caring for up to 40 residents undergoing brain injury rehabilitation, Jo is passionate about re-enablement following injury and puts patients at the heart of everything she does.

Sally Harris, Rehabilitation Assistant at Christchurch Northampton services has been shortlisted for The Care Home Worker Award in the East Midlands Regional Awards. One of 11 children, Sally Harris has worked in the care profession for almost 30 years and for the last 7 years has also been the primary carer for her husband, David. Sally enjoys the challenges of work and finds it very fulfilling to help others meet their full potential.

Finally, Sheena Kidd, Christchurch Group Governance Director has been shortlisted for the Care Innovator Award in the Yorkshire Regional Awards. Previously Director of Services, Sheena Kidd has extensive experience at Christchurch Group having joined in 2007. Sheena has previously managed Woodlands in York and Hunters Moor in Birmingham before becoming Governance Director.

Sheena is attending the Yorkshire Care Awards at the Royal Armories on Friday 20th November. Jo and Sally are attending the East Midlands Care Awards at the Belfry Hotel Nottingham on Saturday 21st November.
