Service users and staff at Orchard House Neurological Rehabilitation Centre hosted a garden party in the sunshine to celebrate four years in business with a garden party in Harwell.
The event was enjoyed by service users, their loved ones and staff at the specialist centre, which provides accommodation for people with a range of conditions, including people who have an acquired brain injury, stroke rehabilitation and other progressive neurological conditions.
Alexandra Fernandes Da Costa, Registered Manager of Orchard House on the High Street, said: “Our garden party is very important to all of our service users and staff. We encourage our residents to take part in a range of social activities at our centre to help complement their rehabilitation.
It was fantastic to be joined by the Mayor of Didcot and so many of our friends and colleagues for this, our fourth anniversary celebration.”
The Mayor of Didcot was amongst the guests who enjoyed food, drink and entertainment, as well as a showcase of the latest neurorehabilitation virtual reality gadgets.
Orchard House is owned and operated by Christchurch Group, which was established in 1998 to provide high quality brain injury rehabilitation within a community setting. It is a Headway Approved Provider and is rated ‘Good’ in all areas by the Care Quality Commission.
