Specialist transitional community neurorehabilitation at Orchard House in Harwell Oxfordshire
Orchard House Neurological Rehabilitation Centre provides specialist community-based transitional rehabilitation in the village of Harwell in Oxfordshire, two miles west of Didcot.
Orchard House, opened in 2014, benefits from a range of accommodation including eight en-suite rooms and one studio apartment to allow for more independent living. The centre is wheelchair accessible throughout, with a training kitchen available for residents, therapy room and garden with large patio area.
Harwell has a range of shops, clubs, sports facilities and a church within walking distance. Close to Didcot, residents can access a range of social, leisure and educational activities. Residents can also be supported to attend the local college.
The centre is supported by an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation medicine consultants, neurologists, a neuropsychiatrist, neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists. Support is also provided by experienced rehabilitation and therapy assistants.
