Post-acute Specialist Transitional Community Neurorehabilitation at Lloyd House in Northampton
Lloyd House Neurological Rehabilitation Centre provides specialist community-based transitional rehabilitation. Lloyd House offers 17 en-suite bedrooms. Those on the group floor are modified for people who use larger tilt and space wheelchairs, or need hoists for transfers.
Located in Abington, Lloyd House is close to local shops and the park, so residents benefit from social, occupational and educational opportunities in an ideal setting for neurorehabilitation. Lloyd House also benefits from a pathway to Abington View, a three-bed accessible bungalow which provides independent living for female residents who have are able to live more independently.
Dr Fahim Anwar is the Lead Consultant to Christchurch View and the centre is supported by an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation medicine consultants, neurologists, neuropsychologists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists. Support is also provided by experienced rehabilitation and therapy assistants.
The Christchurch Rehabilitation Programme aims to maximise independence and recovery, equipping residents with the skills to return home or to a supported environment, achieving rehabilitation goals that promote re-enablement and enhance quality of life. The team at Lloyd House work together to develop person-centred rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise the individual’s independence and recovery.
