At Christchurch we provide specialist person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation programmes, delivered by an interdisciplinary therapy team, which focus on improving functional independence, communication and social skills, motivation, and cognitive functioning. Many of our patients have had a traumatic brain injury (TBI), following, for example, a car accident, fall or a sporting injury. We also treat people who have had an acquired brain injury (ABI) - brain damage as a result of, for example, an infection such as encephalitis, or after reduced oxygen to the brain following a cardiac arrest or severe asthma attack.
We can provide post-acute rehabilitation, slow-stream rehabilitation, or continuing care.
