Dr Marina Platts
Dr Marina Platts is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine.
She graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1993 and received her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2004.
Previously she set up and ran a successful 14 bed Neurological Rehabilitation Unit in the NHS, and continues her NHS role at York Hospital.
She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School, and regularly examines in Final Examinations.
Her interests include Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness and Ethical Issues. She was recently a part of the Royal College of Physicians working group on the Continuation of Artificial Nutrition and Hydration.
Outside work she is a keen cyclist and aspiring runner.
